Question: I am planning on going to my first comic con at some point this year and I was considering making a costume. I am having trouble coming up with an idea. I am a little overweight so I don't want anything overly tight and I am a college student (so relatively short on cash). I love Marvel and my favorites are Spider-man and Deadpool. I have long brown hair and blue eyes. If you have any ideas please let me know. :) Thanks

Answer: I think you should try to do a not so common character like Squirrel girl from the Great Lakes Champions (formerly known as the Great Lakes X-Men and the Great Lakes Avengers). The not some common characters are the ones who get the most attention at Comic- Con's.
I also like the Lady Deadpool idea. Because you can be really silly and fit the part perfectly (especially if you use pink squirt guns, and post it notes).
But, the best piece of advice I can give is a site called Cosplay.com. The site shows a ton of cosplayers pictures, and descriptions on how they put their costumes together (including in most cases, exactly what they used, and how to do it).
Try looking up two members on cosplay.com: TallestSilver, and RaptorAdapter. They have the two coolest Lady Deadpool costumes.
